GARETH - Halfway home tour 2026

TICKETS

Nashville had always been a place he longed for: his first album was called “Covers (From Across The Pond)”. By “Pond”, he didn’t mean a pond in the barren grasslands of Northern Ireland where GARETH had grown up, but the Atlantic Ocean. Before crossing it for the first time by plane, he did so mentally with these six cover songs penned by young country musicians he admired: Noah Kahan, Luke Coms and Dylan Gossett. Even as a child, Gareth Hamilton would listen intently to the country albums in his father’s collection before picking up the guitar himself. Then, as a teenager, he would wander through the pubs of Northern Ireland playing songs ‘from across the pond’. He posted them on TikTok, including ‘Stick Season’ by Noah Kahan. The song went viral, and Gareth is now something of an Irish counterpart to Garth Brooks – just without the cowboy hat, but wearing a lumberjack shirt and a baseball cap instead. American country music has always been heavily influenced by Irish folk, so it was only a matter of time before Gareth crossed the Atlantic in 2024, guitar in tow, to record a new album due for release this autumn. Today, he lives where he’s always been drawn to: in Nashville.
